How We Review: Criteria, Evidence and Limits
Everything on this site about an operator comes out of the same short list of checks, and the list is published here so you can apply it without us. 22WIN is an independent guide: not a casino, no deposits accepted, no balances held, no games run. There are no scores and no rankings, which removes the one product a site like this could most easily sell.
Seven criteria
- Licence disclosure — is the operating company named where a reader will find it, and does the name appear in the regulator's own published records?
- Complaint route — is there an escalation path past live chat, and is the regulator's channel acknowledged on the site at all?
- Terms clarity — can a first-time reader locate withdrawal conditions, bonus wagering rules and the dormancy clause without searching?
- KYC rules — is verification explained before deposit, with documents named and timing stated?
- Payment rails — which methods exist, and does the site distinguish rail speed from its own approval queue?
- Responsible-gaming tools — are deposit limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion actually in the account area?
- Support and app distribution — how many written channels exist, and does the site describe store availability honestly rather than pushing an installer from a domain it does not control?
Every one of these is answerable by reading published material. None requires an account, which matters, because we hold none.
What can and cannot be established
| Establishable from outside | Not establishable from outside |
|---|---|
| That a company name and licence reference are published, and whether they match the regulator's list | Whether that company will pay you, at your amount, this week |
| That terms, privacy, complaints and responsible-gaming pages exist, and what they commit to | Whether support is competent on the day you write in |
| Where a site's own pages contradict each other | What its internal approval queue is doing |
| Which payment brands are displayed, and how those rails behave publicly | Payout times, fees and minimums — set by the operator, so check its cashier page |
| Whether a stated RTP matches the studio's published figure | Which configuration of a game the lobby is actually running |
Unsourced numbers are omitted. A gap is a statement about our confidence; a plausible invention would be a statement about our standards.
Claims we will not make
- That we tested a withdrawal anywhere — we hold no accounts
- A fee, minimum or payout time for an operator we cannot query
- A licence number we have not seen in the regulator's own records
- A score, a star rating or a ranking position
- An author name, biography or photograph that does not belong to a real person
- A max win, bonus amount or player count we cannot source
Commercial arrangements
Some outbound links may be partner links that pay a commission on a click. The arrangement is the same whatever a page says. No operator previews a draft, no sentence is softened on request, and no page is withdrawn because somebody complained. If that were ever the condition, the page would stay and the arrangement would not.
There is also nothing to buy, because there is no ranking to buy a place in. That was a deliberate design decision rather than an oversight.
Dates, authorship and corrections
Pages carry published and modified dates and are credited to the site. We do not invent reviewers, credentials or photographs — a fabricated expert would be the least verifiable thing on an otherwise careful page. Corrections are applied in the page itself with the date updated, and being shown an error is more useful to us than defending one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does this site not rate operators out of ten?
Because a score conceals the reasoning that produced it while looking objective, and a ranking position is the easiest thing in this market to sell. We publish the checks so the reasoning stays visible.
Do you make money from links?
Some outbound links may be partner links earning a commission on a click. It does not change the wording, and nobody outside the site sees a page before it is published.
Can you tell me how fast an operator pays out?
No. Approval times, fees and minimums are set by the operator — check its cashier page and get support's answer in writing. What is independently verifiable is rail behaviour: InstaPay real-time within a per-transaction cap, PESONet in banking-day batches.
Do you verify licences yourself?
We compare the operating company name a site publishes against the regulator's published records, and we explain how to repeat the check. We cannot audit the regulator's files or confirm a licence's internal standing.
Who is the author?
The site, under its own name. There is no reviewer persona because a persona we invented could not be verified by you, and no byline is more honest than a fictional one.
